Blog writing has allowed me to explore many forms of writing and helped me find more identity and voice within my writing. I love expression, I love metaphor. I love personal essays. I am especially fond of  rawness.

UNREQUITED SLEEP
WITH NO DREAMS
OF
YOU TO LURE ME IN.

The beady eye of flame poking out from the incense stick taunts me in my sleepless bedroom, winking at me, laughing. I thought I’d be subdued by scent, but of course a lovely smoke is hardly a comfort. Is it the alcohol or the cigarettes that keeps me awake? No, of course not, but the addiction that is over analysing you, your cadence, your every single interaction with me, a painful loop in my head that feels like the beginning of a pulsating headache.

GOD FORBID

A GIRL NARRATES

HER OWN LIFE.

"Is having a boyfriend embarrassing now?”.
No, but what is embarrassing is that, this low-reaching
take does not encompass how women offline are feeling.
We’re applying such a limiting lens to a “phenomenon”
that I think is much simpler than a movement; women are tired, and we’re slowly realising that self-love prevails.
This doesn’t necessarily mean the total abandonment of traditional relationships, but a much needed shift or temporary pause. We’re all so chronically online that we’re not hearing and seeing the change or discourse in real life.

"How can a justice system claim to support survivors if engaging with it inflicts new layers of trauma? How can the Crime Command Unit say it provides a safe haven for victims yet fail to have the checks and balances to detect ten years of misconduct?".

"From job creation, community engagement, charity, and overall culture and history with the sport, how do we abandon such a significant industry? Should we halt and consider more correction and reform, or do we gallop into sparkling wine and firmly gripped trifectas?"
